This whisky showcases the classic Highland style that has become synonymous with some of the finest offerings of Scotch whisky available. This particular malt hails from the northern Highlands distillery – Teaninich, one of very few distilleries in Scotland to use a mash filter rather than the more common mash tun. The result yields a grassy character, reminiscent of Japanese green tea. We have matured this whisky in ex-bourbon casks, which impacts delicious notes of vanilla and indulgent toffee. Fresh, fruity, and floral scents are complemented by nutty notes with a spicy, warming finish. Apple pie with vanilla custard, green tea, aniseed, freshly mowed grass, and just a hint of black pepper to round it off.
